Raisin
Raisins are dried grapes that have undergone a dehydration process, resulting in their shriveled and wrinkled appearance. They are widely consumed as a sweet and nutritious snack, and they also serve as a versatile ingredient in cooking and baking.
Raisins are made from various grape varieties, including seedless and seeded grapes. The grapes are harvested at their peak ripeness and then dried to remove most of the moisture content. This drying process concentrates the natural sugars present in the grapes, giving raisins their naturally sweet taste.
Raisins come in different sizes, colors, and flavors, depending on the grape variety used and the specific drying technique employed. Common types of raisins include Thompson seedless (light-colored), flame (reddish), and golden (light yellow).
