GroundNut

Groundnut, also known as peanut, is a legume crop widely grown for its edible seeds. Groundnuts are native to South America but are now cultivated in many regions around the world. They are highly valued for their versatile culinary uses and nutritional benefits.

The groundnut plant grows as a low-lying annual plant, with yellow flowers that develop into pods containing the seeds. The seeds, or peanuts, are encased in a thin shell that splits open when mature. Each pod typically contains two or three seeds.

Groundnuts can be consumed in various forms, including raw, roasted, or processed into oil or butter. They have a rich, nutty flavor and a satisfying crunch. Groundnuts are used as a key ingredient in many cuisines and dishes, from savory recipes to desserts and snacks.
